System Requirements

• Must be installed on a NetWare server (3.11, 3.12 or 4.1) with a supported SCSI adapter and storage device.
  
• Minimum available memory required for NetWare 3 is 4MB; more is recommended for optimal performance.
  
• Minimum available memory for NetWare 4 is 8MB; more is recommended for optimal performance.

Bundled Software

Each NetWorker license includes software which enables the network administrator to protect data resident on the following desktops: IBM OS/2, Microsoft DOS or Windows, in addition to NetWare 3 and 4 servers.

Product Licensing

NetWorker licensing is based upon the license size of the largest NetWare server being protected. There are five NetWorker licenses: 25, 100, 250, 500 and 1000. The NetWorker license doesn't limit the number of desktop systems or additional NetWare servers that can be backed up. Upgrading or adding a new NetWorker option (such as autochanger support) is easily performed by entering Enabler Codes supplied by Legato on a paper certificate -- there are no diskettes involved. This licensing model is simple to configure, delivers a superior value for multi-server networks, greatly eases installation of upgrades and new options, and supports the additive licensing feature in NetWare 4.1.

Optional Software

Optional software for NetWorker for NetWare includes:

• Additive Enablers extend the NetWorker server license to match the supported NetWare 4.1 license. Available in increments of 50, 100, 250, 500 and 1000.
• Autochanger Software Modules provide hands-free, automated backup using popular autochangers, as well as LAN to mainframe backup using Emprise Stage3.
• ClientPaks deliver backup of additional client platforms.

Supported Storage Devices
